Volunteers needed 2pm to 7pm to help proctor and grade Middle School Math competition - no math expertise required. Mathcounts is a competition similar to the National Spelling Bee. Top finishers from this competition advance to the NYS competition where the top finishers advance to the National Mathcounts Championship.
Your opportunity to help youngsters further their interest in Math. Enjoy the "Lightning Round" where the top competitors face off in a "Jeopardy" style face to face competition. No Math skills needed, but if you have an interest in Math, challenge yourself as the questions are displayed in the Lightning Round.

MATHCOUNTS(r) is a national math enrichment, coaching and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement in every U.S. state and territory. With over 22 years experience, MATHCOUNTS is one of the most successful education partnerships involving volunteers, educators, industry sponsors, and students.
