Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality assistance to taxpayers
• Advising clients about the tax preparation process
• Prepare the taxpayer's return based on information provided by the taxpayer or answer tax related questions.
• Interact with taxpayers to determine the necessary information for completing a tax return.
• Prepare returns using Lacerte or TaxSlayer tax preparation software.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information.

Ensure high-quality of returns by completing a quality review process on returns completed

Requirements

• Prior tax preparation experience, minimum of two years of tax experience preferred or IRS VITA certification

• Analytical skills with attention to detail

• Comfortable learning or navigating within tax software programs

• Communication skills with ability to empathize and instill confidence

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

• Spanish or Cantonese language skills is a plus

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Enrolled Agent Certification, CPA (or CPA candidate) a plus
