Do you have experience in the publishing and/or editing fields? Are you looking to get involved with a mission-oriented nonprofit where you can share your talents? If so, consider volunteering with Write Local, a nonprofit that inspires young writers to think creatively and innovate locally. We print student work in a literary magazine, and we are looking for volunteers with experience formatting, designing, editing, etc. In general, if you have worked in book design or publishing, we could use your talents! We are also looking for volunteers to help build an online magazine of our student work. This opportunity is based out of Latrobe, Pennsylvania but can be completed remotely.
