Why I love to volunteer as a Girl Scout!

Girls are waiting to participate in Girl Scouts because we do not have enough adult volunteers. Troop leaders are needed to start new troops for girls in grades K-12 in your neighborhood. No experience necessary. You don't need to be a parent either. Girl Scout leadership training available. Volunteer now to develop your leadership skills and build your resume while making a difference in the lives of girls.

As a volunteer, you’ll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they’re capable of more than they ever imagined. You’ll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop skills and confidence that will last long after the meeting is over. Imagine the smiles, the excitement, the memories made-those are the moments you’ll share at Girl Scouts.

We have waiting lists of girls all over our council from Charlottesville to Harrisonburg, Roanoke to Lynchburg, Blacksburg to Wytheville, Danville to Martinsville. Be the role model she’ll always remember. Start today! As a valued volunteer you will be given orientation and training necessary to contribute and thrive in your position.
