NVFS' Special Foster Care program needs an administrative volunteer to assist with our office-related tasks enabling them to carry out the mission of the program of providing temporary and quality family settings for children with special needs who may have experienced abuse and neglect.

Volunteer Duties Include:

  • Copy and assemble Foster Care Parent Training booklets
  • Compile, assemble and distribute mailings
  • Conduct internet research to find agencies for partnership programs
  • Assist with document management tasks such as cleaning out old files, filing and re-arranging files
  • Assist with copying, shredding and other administrative tasks
  • Research avenues to recruit Foster Parents as well as promote Foster Parent trainings and other related events
  • Write, edit and format newsletters
