Logistics Coordinators for National Rebuilding Day Projects

Logistic Coordinators serve as the "right hand" assistant to the leader (House Captain) of a National Rebuilding Day home-repair/renovation project. He or she becomes familiar with the tasks in the project's work scope, the materials required, and who is assigned to each task. The LC’s responsibility focuses on acquiring and organizing materials, having them organized by task and available to volunteers on Rebuilding Day. The LC is also responsible for tracking the budget: monitoring expenses, submitting receipts, and coordinating any in-kind donations. National Rebuilding Day takes place on Saturday, April 30, 2016. However the work of the Logistics Coordinator begins with training one evening in February, and continues with flexible time spent in March and April, culminating on National Rebuilding Day. Depending on the scope of the project, one or two prep workdays (Saturdays) may be required on April 16 and/or 23. Project sites (to be announced) will be in Hackensack, Mahwah, Moonachie, Northvale, Paramus, Ridgewood, and Teaneck. One logistics coordinator will be assigned to each site.
