People Incorporated's Project Recovery is looking for a volunteer licensed as a hairdress/barber to provide haircuts to clients at our facility in Saint Paul. We could use one or two volunteers for about two hours once a month. Project Recovery provides street outreach (basic survival gear), drop-in services (shower, laundry, Harm Reduction and Recovery groups), and basic case management assistance (medical, benefits, housing, and shelter referral) for east metro adults who experience homelessness and chemical dependency issues. People Incorporated is a nonprofit organization that serves people with mental illness in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul metro area. Founded in 1969, we now operate more than 60 programs including children’s programs, crisis residences, programs to help the homeless, residential programs, treatment services, case management, and in-home health services. Learn more at www.peopleincorporated.org. Desired qualities for a Project Recovery Volunteer: Experience working with persons experiencing homelessness. Working and interacting with people who are at varying levels of intoxication. Experience working with people who have serious and persistent mental and development disabilities. Ability to independently plan and implement activities. Minimal supervision provided.

We’re known for creating innovative services tailored to the needs of each individual-and we’ve been doing it successfully for nearly 50 years.
