Volunteers help care for the rescued horses at the HPAF farm. Chores are done daily from 7am to noon. Volunteers help with feeding, grooming and turn out of the horses. The stalls and buckets are cleaned daily after the horses are out. Volunteers may come to the farm any day of the week with a first time a[pointment for orientation. Other volunteer opprtunies are in the areas of office, computer / IT, fund raising and tabling at events in the community.

To provide assistance to law enforcement and animal agencies with cruelty investigations and the care and placement of horses. To promote and teach horse care and humane, natural methods of training for horses.
Description
Horse Protection Association of Florida (HPAF)operates a 149 acre farm in Marion County Florida 5 miles west of I-75. 55 horses call the farm home while awaiting adoptive homes. HPAF uses Parelli Natural Horsemanship as the foundaion for the horses trsining.Volunteers are able to lesrn the language of the horse while helping to care for formerly neglected, abused and abandoned horses.
