Outreach
Volunteers and Staff conduct weekly outreach regarding our programs & services

We are looking for several passionate and active community organizers throughout the Bay Area! These volunteers will be critical in helping educate and civically engage the American Muslim community. They will help spread our Action Alerts, educate and inform the community about their rights through materials distribution, and trainings to help them engage their local, elected officials.

Volunteers will be needed for:

-outreach opportunities ( community centers, mosques, university campuses) to circulate materials to educate the community.

-office work. These volunteers will help strategize, draft and edit action alerts, prepare marketing materials and work on data entry.

Tasks:

  • Help track legislators' upcoming public activities (e.g. Townhalls, picnics, etc.) and work ahead of time to ensure the Muslim community participates and attends these events.
  • Work with our staff to facilitate goal-driven meetings with city, county and federal elected officials
  • Record interested contacts,locations visited, areas that need visiting and materials given.
