"Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for its future." -JFK United Way is partnering with Piscataway MLK School’s 4th grade students in order to implement the program "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens." This will help the students make the transition to the middle school easier while giving the children important life skills. However United Way, MLK School and most importantly the children cannot do it alone, they need you to step up and become a leader as well as a role model for these children and their community. If you are interested please contact Imthiaz Azeez at iazeez@uwcj.org or 732-247-3727. Volunteers will serve as coaches and must become familiar with the Covey curriculum, to be supplied by UWCJ. The Young Leaders Program is a training program to 4th graders based on the curriculum created by Sean Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. There are 7 independent modules in the program, spread over a 7 month period. Each module runs 50 minutes and all materials come from Covey’s program. Volunteers may sign up for one or more modules. Please contact Imthiaz Azeez for additional information.
