Communities in Schools of Tacoma and our preschool literacy program READY! Set, Read-Tacoma! is partnering with Mary Bridge Children's Hospital to bring story times to the emergency department waiting room. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for someone who is interested in going into the medical field and also has a passion for reading. This will truely be a rewarding experice being able to bring a smile to a child's face who is awaiting care in the emergency department waiting room at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.

Description
Communities In Schools is part of the 5th largest youth development organization in the country. We are the only ones proven to increase graduation rates AND decrease dropout rates.
We serve as the bridge between the student and the community, bringing in resources that help break down the barriers that students have to be successful in school.
