A simple smile or greeting from a client will make your day! As a volunteer, you provide a meal and a few minutes of conversation to 12 Meals on Wheels clients, who are either homebound, elderly or disabled. Oftentimes, as a volunteer, you are the only individual who connects with the client all day-so you're able to make their day, too!
Our volunteers are drivers or servers. You can choose one of our convenient 25 sites to volunteer out of during the weekday lunch hour, as many times per week or per month as you would like! From Clarence to the city of Buffalo, down to the south towns and southern tier, Meals on Wheels covers a great portion of Erie County, view our list of locations to see where you might like to serve: https://mealsonwheelswny.org/locations.
We are finding a volunteer need in the city of Buffalo and in Springville, NY, can you help us find dedicated volunteers there?

Mission Statement
Meals on Wheels For WNY is an agency that works to enrich lives and promotes independent healthy living by offering nutricious food and a friendly visit.
Each year, more than 900,000 nutritious meals are served in the community by the lifeblood of our agency-our volunteers! Nearly 3,600 clients days are positively impacted by the few minutes of friendly conversation they spend with our dedicated team of volunteers. Consider the impact you can make in that brief amount of time!

Description
Why Volunteer for Meals on Wheels?
By devoting just one lunch hour per week, you can make the life of a homebound person a little brighter and put our mission into practice.
Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone! As part of a volunteer team, a driver and a server deliver meals together. We have teachers, retirees, homemakers, students and even business owners who give of their time. All it takes is one hour per day, once a week or once a month to make a difference.
