The Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis is looking for regular childcare volunteers for the various events and programs we have throughout the year. We often need childcare assistance for our Therapeutic Playgroup for children aged 0-3, our New Family Brunch in February, our Family Picnic in May, and more. You will be emailed each time there is a childcare opportunity coming up, and will also receive emails about other volunteer opportunities. Childcare volunteers will be caring for babies and children with Down syndrome. Experience working with children with disabilities is not required. We will host a brief volunteer orientation for new volunteers and can answer any questions you have. We require all regular volunteers to do a background check. Email abby@dsagsl.org or call 314-961-2504 ext. 101 with questions!

Mission Statement
The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis is to benefit the lives of people with Down syndrome and their families through individual and family support, education, public awareness and advocacy.
Description
What started out as a small group aiming to make a difference has turned in a large, far reaching organization with many of the same core values and goals.
Today the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis has a membership list of over 3,000 households including 1,800 individuals with Down syndrome. We have three core service areas: Awareness & Advocacy, Education and Family Support.
DSAGSL benefits the lives of people with Down syndrome and their families through a lifetime of support, education and advocacy. We envision a community where all people with Down syndrome can achieve their full potential. We are comprised of families, friends and professionals with this common interest. We know the joys and also understand the challenges of a child born with Down syndrome. We exist as an organization to encourage and support individuals with Down syndrome and their families on this journey.
