Mission: St. Louis is hosting its annual Tax Prep invent for 2018! In order to make this year's Tax Prep a success, we need community volunteers! We will be providing all training and resources, as well as the facilities and supervisors. Please join us this year as we strive to empower people to transform their lives, families, and neighborhoods!
We will be partnering with VITA, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, which is offered by the IRS to assist low to moderate income families who cannot prepare their own tax returns. Not only is it free for them, but you would also be promoting financial stability and independence, improving the economic well-being of low and moderate-income individuals, families, and communities, as well as building a movement to dramatically increase access to tax credits, benefits and asset-building resources.
You will learn a lot, have the chance to work with people in your community and make a difference!
If interested, please contact Amanda Carr at Amanda.Carr@missionstl.org.

Mission Statement
Mission: St. Louis' mission is to empower people to transform their lives, families and neighborhoods. We are committed to transforming the city of St. Louis by connecting individuals/groups to communities in need through education, empowerment, and economic development.
Description
Education
Mission: St. Louis believes education is the primary imperative in the empowerment and development of both individuals and communities. Through education, we can work along side individuals to inspire and develop indigenous leadership.
Empowerment
Mission: St. Louis seeks to empower people to grow and develop in all aspects of their lives. Empowerment means engaging people as equals, not as dependents of charity. To do this, we enter into dynamic interpersonal relationships based on mutual respect, trust, integrity, grace and compassion. Through empowerment, we are able to work together in achieving personal and community pride based on a regenerated sense of worth.
Development
Mission: St. Louis desires to develop people and communities holistically through economic and spiritual development. Lasting, authentic change only happens from the inside out. This means that we must work to bring about long-term change in both economic and spiritual spheres. We believe this can only come from building trust through authentic relationships.
