*Training Opportunity* There will not be patient interaction at this event - that comes later!
Seasons Hospice of San Bernardino is training dedicated and compassionate hospice volunteers in San Bernardino County. Join us for our all day Hospice Volunteer Training on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, from 9 am to 3:30 pm at our office in Rancho Cucamonga. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. You can register any time before 2pm on Friday, January 9th. Please start the registration process by clicking "I Want To Help!" Volunteers are a highly valued and vital part of our organization. You can use your gifts to impact someone in their last stages of life in many ways, and we'll make sure you are well-trained, equipped, and supported. As a Direct Patient Care Volunteer, you would provide the patient and family with emotional support and companionship. This can range from reading, listening to music, crafts, watching movies, and more. You can bring comfort to the family by being an understanding presence who knows what they are going through. Again, registration is required and a certificate is provided after the full completion of training. The training is free, in hopes that you'll become a volunteer for Seasons Hospice. We ask for a 3-6 hour/month commitment from our active volunteers. Orientation and training to be a Seasons Hospice volunteer is extensive and very valuable. Along with this full day training, you will complete an application, an interview, self-study competencies, a background check, a physical, a TB test, a drug screen, and an optional Hepatitis B series (all provided at no cost by Seasons Hospice), among other things. Please click the "I Want To Help!" button below.
