We are looking for bilingual (English/Spanish) individuals who can assist and translate in our computer literacy classes. We offer 3 levels of basic computer classes for individuals with little or no previous experience using the computer. Our adult students have varying degrees of English proficiency, and some of our current instructors do not speak Spanish. The next session of classes will run from January 21st. Opportunities are available Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday in the morning (9:30-11:30) and in the evening (7-9 pm). Volunteers are asked to commit to at least 2 hours per week for the entire 8 week session. This is a great opportunity for individuals with advanced proficiency in Spanish looking to practice and improve their skills or for fluent Spanish speakers wanting to give back to the community!

Description
Manos de Cristo is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering low-income individuals by promoting dignity and self-reliance. Manos was founded in 1988, and the dental clinic opened its doors to the Austin community in 1990. Manos hosts a wide range of adult education classes; houses a food pantry, a clothes closet, and two computer labs.
