WHAT YOU WILL DO: Compile information and research for use in Training & Technical Assistance tools and training related to best practices Assist in the organization and maintenance of T & TA tools, materials and resources Provide support to Community Education Interns in responding to school requests and facilitating It’s My Body: Good Touch/Bad Touch and Multi-session presentations Assist in compiling data and creating reports and program evaluation Assist in creating, translating and updating online resources WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Public Speaking- In this position you will be presenting multiple times a week to students from diverse backgrounds in varied age ranges. It is important that you are comfortable and natural in holding public facilitation and speaking spaces. Excellent Communicator- With the diverse schools and audiences our training is made available to, it is important that you have an ability to translate messages to different ages, backgrounds, races, learning styles and include these dynamics when factoring in facilitation styles and tools used. Self-Starter- You’re learning as you go and will need to be highly self-motivated, great at managing yourself and able to design and lead campaigns independently Team Player- You will be expected to collaborate with other members of the DCRCC family and will need to be comfortable filling in various roles in the group process. You will need to be able to listen and receive input from others and also assert your ideas and critiques in a balanced team. Creative Thinking- Many Training & Technical Assistance materials used in schools and other contexts require drawing from a variety of disciplines and platforms. You will think creatively about which resources are relevant and how the content may be translated and helpful in our context. Knowledge of Issue area- Relevant knowledge includes knowledge of how to relate to and translate messages to children and teens, a comfort with self-assessment and expression, and an ability to make connections across topics and issues. TIMEFRAME AND COMMITMENT: This position is for one year of service beginning in January Fellow is expected to work 15-30 hours a week during service Fellow is expected to participate in a 40+ hour training This position is currently open, applications accepted on a rolling basis

Description
The DC Rape Crisis Center is a non-profit organization (501(c)(3)) and the designated sexual assault coalition for the District of Columbia. DCRCC is one of the first rape crisis centers in the nation and has spent the past 43 years listening to the stories of survivors of sexual assault. In our 43 rd year, we are working to empower a culture of consent.
