Saturday, February 7, 2015 COYOTE-BEAR TRAIL DAY 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park Join experienced staff trail technicians, to rehab a trail in the Bear Ranch portion of the park. Volunteers will meet park staff at 9:00 a.m. at the Mendoza Ranch Parking Lot in Coyote Lake County Park, off of Roop Road, Gilroy, CA. 95020. Pre-registration is required. No special skills are required, but the work may be moderately strenuous. Please wear long pants and hiking boots and bring a long-sleeved shirt, sun or rain protection and a water bottle. All necessary tools and work gloves are provided. All registered volunteers will receive a confirmation notice prior to the event, including a map and final details. Volunteers under age 18 must have a parent/legal guardian sign a volunteer waiver before they can participate in the event. Volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the event.

Description

Since 1924, when Stevens Creek County Park was established, people have given their time and talents to help make Santa Clara County Parks special places to visit. In 2010, nearly 2000 volunteers donated over 40,000 hours of service to a variety of projects and programs.

Become a County Parks Volunteer and see how you can play an important role in protecting and enhancing our parklands. What's more, our volunteer events are fun -- come join us to "Go Outside and Play!"
