Catholic Charities Winter Break Camp is designed to allow children something fun and educational to do during the Winter Break along with allowing the parents of participants continue to work even when their children are out of school.
During the camp, lunch and a snack is provided from the Kid's Cafe program through the San Antonio Food Bank. Each day of the camp two coolers will need to be picked up from Catholic Charities Guadalupe Community Center and delivered to the San Antonio Food Bank, about a 15 minute drive from CCGCC, where two more coolers will be picked up to feed the kids that day.
Volunteers must be able to pass a background check and transport two big coolers in their vehicle. Volunteers transporting this food will be helping feed 30+ children. The food will need to be picked up at the food bank by 11am.
The days needed are for December 22, 23, 29, 30, 31, and January 2.
Volunteers could also help serve the meals to the children if they would like, lunch is served at 12pm each of the days above.
