What: Goya Food Delivery
Why: Goya will be donating 20,000 lbs of food to the Catholic Charities Food Pantry located at the Guadalupe Community Center
We are looking for volunteers to join us on Tuesday to receive a generous donation from GOYA to support our food pantry. Volunteers will be assisting staff in unloading the pallets of food and storing it to be used in our food pantry.
Catholic Charities Guadalupe Community Center provides for the most basic needs of our clients on daily basis providing food, clothing, and other basic household needs. We serve over 30,000 individuals a year. Thanks to volunteers who donate their time, talent, and energy we are able to continue to provide selfless service under the sign of love to the community. We hope you consider this volunteer opportunity as a special way to give back this holiday season.

Since 1941 the agency's focus has been to empower individuals and families in need to discover and enhance their own resources, as well as develop viable coping skills that will improve their personal and social functioning. We provide services without regard to gender, race, creed, religion, disability, national origin, or socioeconomic status.
The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide for the needs of our community through selfless service under the sign of love. We are committed to empowering individuals and families in our community and beyond with the goal of fostering independence. We provide over 25 bilingual and culturally sensitive programs in 19 counties throughout the Archdiocese of San Antonio that empower individuals and families in our community to become self-sufficient.
Within the past few years Catholic Charities has expanded it services to the community by bringing other organizations under its umbrella, including Senior Community Services in 1999, Catholic Counseling & Consultation Center and Guadalupe Home in 2001, San Antonio Birth Doulas in 2005, and Guadalupe Community Center in 2006.
