We need your help to get our Walk MS brochures into businesses in your community. This will be an ongoing task throughout the month of March, 2015. Volunteers will canvas businesses, community centers and point of interest in Baltimore City and ask business owners to display our brochures to help spread awareness about Walk MS 2015. You will be required to make a minimum of 10 placements and report the business names back to our office. Target businesses include: coffee shops, grocery stores, gyms, sporting goods stores, medical professional businesses, community centers, shopping centers and any small business you frequent. Walk MS is a one-day 5k walk event in 11 communities across the state. Walk MS will take place in: Annapolis, Baltimore City, Bel Air, Columbia, Cumberland, Frederick, Hagerstown, Hunt Valley, Ocean City, Salisbury and Westminster. This year our goal is to raise $1,200,000, but we need your help! Join us today to help us end MS now!

Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers three key fundraising activities: The MS Bike Tour, MS Walk and MS Challenge Walk. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
