Would you like to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon's low-income Latino families?

By providing volunteer language interpretation service just 4 hours a week during tax season (January 22nd-April 15th) you can help provide a vital service and in turn an important step towards economic security to those most in need. You will also practice your skills, gain a meaningful new experience and become a part of a great team of like-minded people!

El Programa Hispano Católico is a non-profit organization providing quality social services to low-income Latinos in the Portland metropolitan area. Through considerable volunteer support and dedication we offer free tax preparation to the community, providing taxpayers a trustworthy, culturally-specific alternative to unlicensed tax preparers and to paying to prepare their basic tax returns. Last seasonour volunteers helped 1,000 low-income taxpayers secure over $2 million in refunds and saved preparation fees. This season we aim to grow our volunteer team in order to meet the increasing demand for this invaluable service and we need your help!
