ORGANIZATION: I Care You Care-Women's Hope Center

SAFE S.H.A.P.E.S EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE The executive committee shall consist of two or more board members, the executive committee will develop and create policies and procedures for both board members and management. The executive committee shall oversee planning and coordination of fundraising for the organization. This committee will supervise efforts to expand public awareness and participation and participation in ICYC development, fundraising goals and initiatives. ADVISORY AND PLANNING This committee will coordinate long range and strategic planning activates . All members of this committee will represent the interest and concerns of ICYC members of the board of directors and organize member volunteers for specific projects. All members of this committee do not need not need to also be members of the board of directors of ICYC. Board Member Positions (Available) Secretary: The secretary shall be responsible for keeping records of board actions, including overseeing the taking of minutes at all board meetings, sending out meeting announcements, distributing copies of minutes and the agenda to each board member, and assuring that corporate records maintained. Attend all board meeting Serve on the executive committe Maintain all board records and ensure their accuracy and safety Review board minutes Assume responsibilities of the chair in the absence of board chair, chair-elect and vice chair. Provide notice of meetings of the board and/or a committee when such notice is required. Treasurer: The treasurer shall make a report at each board meeting. Treasurer shall chair the finance committee, assist in the preparation of the budget, help develop fundraising plans, and make financial information available to board members and the public. Maintain Knowledge of the organization and personal commitment to its goals and objectives. Understand financial accounting for nonprofit organizations. Serve as financial officer of the organization and as chairperson of the finance committee. Manage with the finance committee, the board review of and action related to the board financial information. R. A. V. E. Kids Executive Committee Our mission as C.R.A.V.E Kids volunteers support children rising above domestic violent situations to build a youth society that will encourage children and teens to come together and support each other. ICYC C. R.A.V.E volunteers do understand the hardship and dynamics of domestic violence, and want kids to have things to do to restore and reconnect youth from the negative impacts, like being involved in gangs, gun violence and those that follow others that engage in negative activities that are leading youth to jail or death. We want kids to have support from the community with others that can relate to the similar struggles in households and negative influences of societal environments, that arise through different developmental ages and stages. we want to lead children and youth on the right path with emotional understanding and encouragement C.R.A.V.E kids want to expand community outreach and recruit volunteers that will help us build more community awareness and support of our peers during the school year and summer seasonal actives. Program C. R. A. V. E. Volunteer Opportunities ICYC Women’s Hope Center program C.R.A.V.E volunteers must be 16 years of age or older (with parent/guardian signature) to become a C.R.A.V.E Kids volunteer. Child Program Volunteer- Supervise and support children during counseling support group sessions and assist ICYC advocates with positive youth development mentoring objectives while participating in activities. Special Event Volunteer- Provide assistance in planning, execution and staffing special events. Youth Recruiting Volunteer Advocate - Participate in community outreach and encourage positive youth development during school, libraries and public organization activities and events. Child & Youth C. R. A. V. E. Kids Volunteer Core Objectives 1) I Care You Care advocate staff and volunteers will help support & promote the importance of children rising above domestic violence environments. 2) Encourage youth to maintain positive behavior and build social interdependent skills and community involvement amongst the same ages from their peers. 3) Provide emotional understanding and advice towards acknowledgment of symptoms, feelings and behavioral patterns that may be occurring in children that have been exposed or abused in a domestic violent environment. 4) Recruit volunteer advocates and provide programs & services Information during our youth recruiting tours and ICYC Women’s Hope Center C.R.A.V.E Kids summer seasonal events. C. R. A. V. E. Kids Youth Recruiting Tours I Care You Care Women’s Hope Center advocates & C.R.A.V.E kids volunteers will participate in social activities to serve as a youth advocate volunteer and provide the children and teens of the community with positive youth development core objectives. C.R.A.V.E kids recruiting tours works in effort to support troubled youth that have been affected and exposed to violent environments. C.R.A.V.E kids mission and objectives core values will provide emotional and understanding of the dynamics and effects of domestic violence abuse. During the year ICYC staff and volunteers will schedule recruiting tours within the following public organizations: Elementary, Middle, & High) schools (after care) Adoption & Foster Care Facilities Government Independent Living Organizations Libraries, Child & Youth Recreation Facilities

"I Care You Care will work to end the crime of interpersonal domestic violence for women and children, by raising the level of advocacy assistance and empower domestic violence survivors. Our mission is to provide a survivor safe house, transitional support, crisis intervention counseling and educational awareness to help each survivor build a solid foundation towards sustaining a healthy independent wellbeing".

Description

I Care You Care Women's Hope Center is a 501(c)(3) non- profit corporation designed to provide assistance to the community regarding domestic violence partnership. The purpose of I Care You Care was organized to break the cycle of interpersonal violence by providing an additional survivor safe house and on- going community based non violent alternatives. Services include crisis intervention, emergency shelter, information/referral, liaison between victims and agencies, advocacy, criminal justice system assistance, emergency transportation, provision of necessities (i.e., food, medication, housing, clothing and supplies) and job placement support. Our programs support and involve battered women of all racial, social, religious and economic groups, ages and lifestyles. Our public awareness/prevention programs work toward social change through in-service face to face screening, evaluation and assistance, while counseling and empowering curriculum practices in parenting services, children, youth programs, support housing and public independent benefits. The facility will be located in south west Atlanta in Fulton County to meet the needs and concerns of the survivors. The facility core values emphasis on building strength, healing, prevention and educational awareness. Resident housing minimum 30-90 per resident program completion.

Program SAFE S.H.A.P.E.S was established to strengthen families and learn the values and beliefs that shape their future. The objectives of I Care You Care Women’s Hope Center victim to survivor program seeks to support change to reshape the negative patterns that victims endure over the years in lives of many battered women and their children.

PROGRAM C.R.A.V.E

"Children Rising Above Violent Environments"

Program C.R.A.V.E is a program that focuses on allowing children to express their feelings and anger from exposure to abuse. ICYC Advocate staff encourages children to build self esteem while helping them cope with the physical and mental effects of domestic violence. Children and teens will participate in healthy activities & anonymous support groups. The program promotes self-reliance in families and individuals by providing essential knowledge tailored to the needs of the children and adolescents
