ORGANIZATION: HandsOn San Diego

Overview of Position: Team Leaders combine their love of volunteering with their leadership skills to lead projects at nonprofit organizations, libraries and parks that meet real community needs. These projects may include beach clean ups, after school tutorting, serving meals, food distribution, pet adoptions, nature restoration, etc.

Essential Functions: -Ensure that each project begins, runs and ends smoothly for all -Act as a liaison between HandsOnSD and the Partner Organization -Respond to volunteer inquiries in a timely manner -Record volunteer attendance and impact information for each project in a timely manner -Lead at least one project a month for a minimum of 4-6 months

Qualifications: -Must be an active HandsOnSD member and have attended at least 1 project -Must be at least 18 years old -Must be able to pass a background check -Must be accessible via e-mail -Must be comfortable leading a group of diverse volunteers, and be committed to making a difference in the community.
