As a volunteer, you will interview, evaluate and mentor young job seekers to help them prepare for entry level jobs and internships. In order to ensure that underserved youth have the opportunity to participate in the 21st century economy, UNITE-LA leads collaborative education reform efforts, promotes business-education partnerships, and provides college access and workforce development opportunities for youth in the Los Angeles area.

Description

Founded in 1998 as a nonprofit organization, UNITE-LA has a strategic partnership with the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. Through this and other partnerships, UNITE-LA is able to advance its mission of empowering youth to succeed in the 21st century global economy. UNITE-LA oversees several signature education and workforce development initiatives, including: L.A. Cash for College, the L.A. Compact, the L.A. Regional STEM Hub, L.A. Youth at Work, and Principal for a Day.
