The Youth Education Program Manager will work closely with the leadership team and Board of Directors on a national Youth Education initiative. Responsibilities include: Work with team and external partners to organize the various components required to initiate and execute the Youth Education initiative. Undertake special projects as needed, including coordinating and facilitating special events, fundraising events, and other activities, as appropriate. Assist with market research, PR and marketing efforts. Assist with grants research, proposal development and reporting. The Program Manager will have 3+ years of project management and be proficient in Internet and Microsoft Office; excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and possess the ability to work independently. Additionally, the role offers a flexible telecommute work schedule. COMPENSATION This is an outstanding opportunity to take a leading role in a progressive national organization devoted to igniting major social change. Therefore, the candidate is willing to delay full compensation in exchange for joining a dynamic nonprofit poised for major growth. Upon successfully securing funding, a moderate stipend that will lead to full-time employment and compensation will be negotiated, as funding becomes available. The mission of Saving Promise is to launch a multi-year, multi-disciplinary, evidence-based research and development Learning Lab to prevent intimate partner violence.

Description

Saving Promise is a national advocacy organization dedicated to intimate partner violence prevention. It was founded when L.Y. Marlow discovered that her daughter was trapped in an abusive relationship that also threatened her granddaughter, a little girl named Promise. Her story is about five generations of mothers and daughters who survived more than sixty years of intimate partner violence. She founded Saving Promise with the vision of doing just that-saving Promise, which blossomed into a vision for the nation.
