Montgomery Parks is very excited to once again join the nation on the MLK Jr. Day of Service!

Volunteering is a great way to honor Dr. King! We will have several service events throughout Montgomery Parks, all weekend long.

Most of our projects involve removing trash from our parks and streams, working on a trail or saving the forest by removing non-native plants and vines.

We hope that you'll join us on the weekend of January 14-16, 2017

Description

Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
