ORGANIZATION: Hands On Charlotte

Without leaders, Hands On Charlotte would not be able to create and implement our programs. With your help, we are able to make a real difference in Charlotte.

Volunteer Leader Roles:

* Be a liason between Hands On Charlotte and our partner organizations by attending your project and leading volunteers.

* Be a liason between Hands On Charlotte and volunteers by answering project specific questions and redirecting volunteers to Hands On Charlotte staff when necessary.

* Be a champion of service by making volunteering fun, easy and engaging for volunteers.

* Enhances your leadership and management skills.

* Meet new people and make more Hands On Charlotte friends.

There are several projects that currently have openings for a Volunteer Leader and/or back-up Volunteer Leaders as well as other projects we are looking to add to the calendar. Hands On Charlotte is also open to starting other projects based on your ideas.

Volunteer Leader Requirements:

* You must be a Hands On Charlotte volunteer age 19 or older that has completed an orientation, background check and is in good standing.

* You must have attended at least 3 Hands On Charlotte volunteer activities

Hands On Charlotte inspires, equips and mobilizes a diverse corps of volunteers to strengthen our community.

Description

Throughout the year, Hands On Charlotte (a program of United Way of Central Carolinas) provides direct volunteer service to the community. We help homeless families, guide at-risk youth, tutor disadvantaged children, feed the hungry, care for our environment and so much more. Our volunteers address our community's needs through direct service. Hands On Charlotte offers a variety of meaningful volunteer projects that benefits the citizens of Charlotte. We provide volunteers with flexible volunteer opportunities to create positive change. We simplify the process by organizing and promoting dozens of opportunities each month.
