If you have a few free hours Monday through Friday during the day you can help save a life! Volunteer drivers are need for the American Cancer Society's Road To Recovery program in Mankato, MN and surrounding areas. Drivers donate their time and vehicle to to take cancer patients to treatment and back home. They also provide encouragement and support. Volunteer drivers are needed throughout the year. Volunteer drivers must have a good driving record, a valid driver's license, a reliable car with seatbelts, and adequate insurance coverage. Volunteers need to be friendly and compassionate. Drivers must respond to all patient ride requests in a timely fashion and follow through on all commitments. The American Cancer Society online orientation, training, support materials and other assistance to volunteer drivers.
