AmeriCorps Project YES! 8 th Annual MLK Day Literacy Fair

In honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, AmeriCorps Project YES! is organizing a free Youth Literacy Fair on Monday, January 19, 2015. AmeriCorps Project YES!, a program of the Northwestern University Settlement House, connects caring adults with youth in the West Town community through mentorship, educational, service, artistic, and recreational activities to support their academic achievement.

Our 8th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Literacy Fair will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 9:00am-1:30pm . This year's theme will be "Find Your Dream'". The fair will allow members of the community to interact, learn, and have fun all while exploring different aspects of literacy though book readings, hands on literacy activities and games, and more!

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help youth ages 3 to 14 years old "Find their Dreams". Volunteers will assist with the numerous scheduled activities & functions of the fair. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers of the fair.
