At RISE, our volunteers are key in giving support to survivors and their loved ones in times of need. Whether it is by taking shifts on our crisis line, accompanying a survivor to a medical exam, or educating the community, our volunteers are helping serve their community directly.
A 10 week, 65 hour state certified training course will prepare potential volunteers to become crisis counselors for those affected by sexual assault and intimate partner violence. This training is available as a volunteer training course and a professional development opportunity.
Training classes are held in Fall and Spring of each year. Our Fall Class is scheduled to begin in September. Please contact us for more information or to be placed on our interest list for the next training class.
