ORGANIZATION: RISE

The Grant Writing Intern, working under the Executive Director, assists in researching and applying for grant funding for RISE. As a non-profit, RISE relies on grant funding to keep our services running. Strong writers will gain excellent work experience through this position. The agency provides 65-hour training to certify participants as Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Crisis Counselors. This training is optional for this position; however an extensive knowledge of sexual assault and intimate partner violence issues is vital for the job. Internship opportunities are unpaid, but offer valuable experience.

RISE is a non-profit organization that serves those affected by intimate partner violence and sexual assault/abuse by providing: 24-hour crisis line, crisis intervention, case management, restraining order assistance, accompaniment and advocacy, prevention education, emergency shelter, and individual and group counseling.
