A Girl Scout Register is often a family's first encounter with Girl Scouts. The Registrar is available to answer questions about Girl Scouts and does not miss an opportunity to recruit a new member. They help new families register their girls, suggest to the girls' caregivers that they should become a Girl Scout troop volunteer and work with the Troop Organizer to determine troop placement. Additionally, they assist existing volunteer with the annual troop registration process. The Registrar position is year round with an average time commitment of 2-3 hours per week. (A little more during the fall)

Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is an organization dedicated to girls and is a leader in innovative girl programming and collaboration. GSEM serves nearly 33,000 girls, ages 5-18, from 178 communities in Eastern Massachusetts. Our community of nearly 15,000 adult members includes volunteers, parents, caregivers, staff, alumnae, students, and professionals. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible options that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls.
