Bakersfield has once again been given the honor of hosting the 2015 USA/Central California Swimming Junior Olympics, Western Conference. The Event will be hosted by local non-profit organization and swim club, Bakersfield Aquatics Club, and serves as their largest fundraiser in order to fund their mission to offer scholarships for low income athletes, water safety and swimming technique clinics and CPR for little to no cost for low income community members.
Please Join Us and help us with this amazing opportunity and large undertaking!
Volunteer opportunities include:
Concession, Hospitality, Parking Lot Attendants, Locker Room Attendants, Warm-Up Pool Attendants, Timers, Clerical Aides, First Aid, Volunteer Management and Awards.

Mission Statement
Our mission as a team is to provide a safe, happy and healthy environment for all participants in our swimming and health programs. Additionally, we also strive to be a force in our community and help the needy by offering free or reduced price safety swimming lessons, swimming technique courses and year round competitive club swimming to low income families in our community. We also take extra care to teach our athletes and students the value of a healthy lifestyle through proper nutrition and exercise.
Description
As a non-profit organization that strives to teach our community members water safety, proper swimming technique, the love of the sport, competitive athleticism and health programs, we often hold events and clinics for our fellow community members and swimming community which serves as a way to financially support our community outreach programs. Volunteers are always needed for such events that range from preparation tasks, Public Service Announcements, donations, sponsors, clerical work at events, snack bar, assistants, etc. We appreciate your consideration in helping us to fulfill our mission.
