PLACEMENT PURPOSE
This is a national program being offered throughout 2014 in the South Jersey Region. Using carefully assessed curriculum tools, this one-hour program provides emergency-preparedness education to youth in grades 3-5 in school and after-school settings. In a highly interactive format, the program addresses fire safety, local hazards, coping skills and making a personal emergency kit in a pillowcase that is supplied by the program. This position will help train presenter candidates
OPEN TIME DAYS
4 hour commitment per presentation (1 hour set up/clean up, 3 hour presentation) not including picking up and dropping off materials from the Chapter, commuting to and from the presentation site, or any additional tasks done at the Chapter. Most trainings will be held at Chapter offices

Disaster Services: An Overview
Community Disaster Edcucation presenter training
Pillowcase Project presenter training (including teachbacks)
Shadowing presentations with experienced presenters
