Embracing Hospice

Embracing Hospice is always seeking volunteers from the communities we serve. Volunteerism is a core service and integral element of the hospice concept in the United States. Volunteeres are fundamental to the service culture of Embracing Hospice.

If you want to serve people who are hungry for compassionate, human contact and need to hear a comforting voice and see a familiar face, become a hospice volunteer. Your decision to serve as a hospice volunteer will change your life forever!

Volunteers make a difference in the lives of patients, family members, caregivers, and hospice staff. Please call us.

We provide extensive training to our volunteers and offer a variety of opportunities - companionship, administrative support, special projects, bereavement, spiritual care, and direct patient care. We also have special programs for volunteers: Veteran-to-veteran where veteran volunteers are matched with hospice patient-veterans within the same branch of the armed forces; long term care volunteers who spend their time in assisted living facilities and in skilled nursing facilities; as well as many other special programs.
