ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association Western Carolina

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Held annually in hundreds of communities across the country, this inspiring event calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. We need ON FIRE Community members to serve on the Asheville Walk to End Alzheimer's planning committee. The committee meets monthly, with sub-committees including, logistics, sponsorship, marketing, team recruitment, and outreach. #CHC

Serving 100 counties in North Carolina, the Alzheimer’s Association - North Carolina is here to help. We provide education and support to all those facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias throughout our community, including those living with the disease, caregivers, health care professionals and families. We are also committed to advocating for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s disease and advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
