ROAR stands for Rehab, Outreach, And Recovery. The ROAR program provides urgent home repairs for families and individuals who cannot complete the work themselves. The work is completed in partnership with volunteer groups to keep the cost as low as possible. The repairs provided are necessary, not cosmetic.

To alleviate poverty within Richmond, Scotland, Robeson, Hoke and Cumberland counties through empowerment, encouragement, and education.
Description
The mission of Partners In Ministry is to alleviate poverty within the Sandhills region of NC through empowerment, encouragement, and education. To accomplish this, we focus on three key areas: Housing, Youth Empowerment, and Resource and Referrals. Our Rehab Outreach and Repair (ROAR) Housing program provides urgent home repairs to families in need with a focus on the elderly and disabled. Our Youth Empowered to Succeed (YES) Program focuses on youth leadership and mentoring. This program houses our SYSTEM (Strengthening Youth in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) afterschool tutoring and summer program. Our Resource and Referral program focuses on connecting those in need in our community with the resources they need to meet those needs. This program houses our community garden, food pantry, and thrift store.
