Volunteer Job Description
VIDEOGRAPHER
4 Assignments/year
16 hours/year
MAJOR OBJECTIVE
The volunteer videographer will donate their time and talent with working knowledge of our organization to capture the mood or feeling of the event(s). The videographer will create clear, creative, strategically captured videos that are professionally prepared for publication. The videos will be used to promote MOCEANS and its mission online and elsewhere.
QUALIFICATIONS
Portfolio of original works that meet the standard of professional publication
Owns high resolution digital equipment and uses it effectively
Owns professional editing software and is proficient in its use
RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand MOCEANS’ mission and become a vocal proponent of same within the community
Attend four or more events/activities each year, capturing the spirit and emotion of each
Provide digital proofs to supervisor for approval
Utilize various processing software such as Photoshop or Adobe Creative Suite to professionally prepare the works
ORIENTATION/TRAINING
MOCEANS will provide online training regarding the mission of the Center and interacting with our consumers. On-going training and support will be provided as needed.
TIME AND PLACE
The volunteer videographer will work as requested during specific events and/or activities. These events/activities may occur at MOCEANS main office or off-site. Shifts will be assigned based on MOCEANS’ needs and Volunteer’s availability.
COMMITMENT
This position requires a minimum commitment of 4 assignments with no less than 10 minutes of polished video per assignment.

For off-site events, Stan Soden, Director of Independent Living Services
For office events and submission of finished product, Erica Hill, Resource Development and Outreach

Volunteers are highly valued members of the MOCEANS team and contribute to making a significant difference in MOCEANS’ ability to serve our community. MOCEANS will provide reference letters for all volunteers who successfully complete a placement
