Come help wrap presents at the Cotton Exchange's Santa's Village Area, located in vacant store on Water Street Parking lot store front, wrap packages for customers of the Cotton Exchange and earn money for the operations of the Cape Fear Volunteer Center and the Big Buddy Program.
Dates of operation will be each Saturday in December from noon to 7 with two shifts, 12-3:30 and 3:30-7. We would like to have at least 4 people per shift, although more is fine. We will provide festive elf hats, feel free to dress festive. Engaging the patrons will increase the donations, so have fun with this. Be creative and respectful.
The Cape Fear Volunteer Center is a 501c3 non-profit corporation. Funds raised stay local and fund the operations of The Cape Fear Volunteer Center, through direct programs such as Big Buddy (one on one mentoring for at risk youth) CareNet (assist with needs of seniors, chronically ill and the low income residents of Wilmington) Kids Voting, and Hurricane Florence Long Term Recovery Efforts and indirect programs such as matching volunteers with agencies in New Hanover County.

Mission Statement
The CFVC's mission is match volunteers and agencies with service opportunities in Southeastern NC. Description
The CVFC was formed in 1997 to mobilize volunteers and resources to identify and deliver creative, effective solutions to community needs by volunteers. The CVFC was founded in the wake of Hurricane Fran. The need addressed by the CVFC is that of providing support for non-profit organizations, community events and initiatives through the effective recruitment, training, referral and stewardship of volunteers and directors of volunteers, as well as planning programs and/or collaborations. In order to keep the VC running and meeting the needs of the community agencies it needs funding. The CFVC makes those matches for individuals, corporations, schools, and churches. We register the volunteers and then place them with the agency that best suits their time and availability. We are the place that the schools turn to find community service opportunities for their youth;
