Do you have a passion for gardening? We need a volunteer gardener to help with our YWCA Central Area Food Bank garden!
The YWCA Central Area Food Bank seeks to impact hunger in the central district, with help to our clients and our neighbors. The Food Bank recently added 3 raised garden beds. We are in need of a volunteer to work these beds to help create a learning garden, harvest fresh produce, and provide an educational nutrition lesson.
Details:
- Available 1 or 2 times a week during business hours (Wednesdays would be preferred- but there is some flexibility)
- Ability to weed, water, take care, harvest, replant, etc.
- Must have knowledge of how to garden, especially about gardening in the Pacific Northwest
- Ability to make a minimum of a three month commitment (longer preferred)
