The SUN (Schools Uniting Neighbors) program at Shaver Elementary is assisting with setting up and organizing holiday assistance program like; Toys for helping hands food and gift drive and Parkrose Helping Hands food and gift drive. Come lend an extra hand and help make these holiday special for someone in need.

We are seeking volunteers for:

Shaver Elementary 3701 NE 131st Pl, Portland, OR 97230
  • Toy Room Setup: 8-10 volunteers to help in: S etting up and organizing the toys for helping hands food and gift drive. December 16th 1pm-7pm

  • Parkrose Helping Hands food and gift drive: 30 volunteers to lend an extra hand. December 17th 9am-10pm

Description

Metropolitan Family Service (MFS) volunteers serve in various capacities, depending on their areas of interest and abilities. Volunteers participate in on-going opportunities in one of three focus areas: helping children succeed, strengthening families and their connections to the community, and helping older adults and persons with disabilities live independently. We create opportunities that bridge generations and inspire everyone to live their best life.
