Share your passion for cooking and nutrition with youth!

As a 4-H Cooking Club Co-Leader, you will have the opportunity to lead a group of youth (ages 12 ) through cooking exercises of your design. You will also provide guidance as they learn to run business meetings, elect officers, and plan service projects to put their new knowledge and skills to good use. Best of all, you'll coach them to compete in the 4-H Food Challenge -- a program similar to Master Chef that will test their culinary prowess and their knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and food budgets.

This is a long-term commitment (1-2 years) and requires 10-12 hours of work per month. You must be available during afterschool hours (3-6pm) at least one day per month, or as often as you'd like to spend time cooking with this fantastic group of youth! The club will be a part of the Arlington Mill afterschool program (909 S Dinwiddie St).

Your work with this club will make a lasting impact on these 4-H youth. They will develop life skills, leadership skills, and a strong ethic of good citizenship that will prepare them for a successful path through life!
