Mission Statement
Join us today! Volunteer Services of Snohomish County assisted over 350 individuals in 2014 by providing over 18,000 hours in volunteer work. "You are helping me to be independent and to be able to stay in my home - what a blessing that is." -- Mary, current client
Description
Volunteer Chore Services (VCS) began in 1981 as a grassroots response to State-wide budget cuts that left 4,000 elders without chore services. Over the years VCS has proven itself to be a cost-effective safety net for those who do not qualify for the State's assistance and cannot afford to purchase services.
Volunteers opportunities such as housework, laundry, transportation, shopping and similar independent living requests enable clients to remain in their homes with dignity and a sense of belonging to their community.
