ORGANIZATION: RRUFF - Rocklin Residents Unite For Fido

Have a dog? Love your RRUFF Dog Park in Rocklin? (located inside Johnson-Springview Park, 5480 5th Street.) Our park users - especially our dogs - like it clean and tidy. So do we.

We are looking for two energetic people - young, old, in-between - who don't mind doing some sweeping, cleaning benches, filling waste bag dispensers - and DRUM ROLL please: Scooping the Poop and emptying the smelly cans.

1 hour per week is all we ask - You choose the day and the time. Currently we need someone for Thursday and Friday - not to worry if those days don't work for you - we can switch days with other volunteers. Perfect for High School Community Service Hours, too!

Description

RRUFF was originally formed to establish the first off-leash dog park in Rocklin, Ca. The dog park opened December 23, 2011. In 2014 our mission expanded and Healing Heroes became a program of RRUFF. This program is dedicated to providing funding for service dog training expenses to veterans and first responders with post traumatic stress disorder and other invisible disabilities. Classes are held throughout the greater Sacramento, Placer, Yuba, and El Dorado counties. We continue to manage the RRUFF Dog Park inside Johnson-Springview park. And we continue to fund veterinary care for service dogs in-training as well as assist in finding and adopting, rescuing or purchasing dogs to match with veterans in the program. We have grown substantially over the past four years and look forward to continued expansion and collaboration within the nonprofit community . Our focus will be on raising money for the needs of the dogs in the service dog training classes as well as maintaining the RRUFF Dog Park.
