For many students in Denver, continuing their education beyond high school doesn't seem like a viable option. Most often, it's not low grades or lack of extracurricular activities keeping them from pursuing their dreams. There are thousands of intelligent, hard-working individuals facing the most intimidating barrier to college of all -- they think it just isn't possible.
But the Denver Scholarship Foundation is changing that. We're making a post secondary degree possible for Denver's students.
Right now, we are looking for volunteers to assist our College Success team in making phone calls to former DSF Scholars. We want to re-engage former scholars through encouraging them to attend a career exploration event on December 10th.
Phone calls will be taking place at the DSF office during the following times:
Monday, 12/1, 10am - 12pm
Tuesday, 12/2, 12pm - 2pm
Wednesday, 12/3, 5pm - 7pm

Description
The Denver Scholarship Foundation was created in 2006 by private donors and community leaders to help Denver Public School students achieve their educational goals by providing students with guidance and financial support.
In addition to providing scholarships to Denver Public Schools graduates, the Denver Scholarship Foundation provides postsecondary guidance and resources through Future Centers and College and Financial Aid Advisors within DPS high schools.
