Volunteer Placement Coordinator

The volunteer placement coordinator will provide overall leadership for placing volunteer into positions within the LLS team. The goal of this position is to create and implement a strategy to identify volunteer needs, properly screen volunteer applications, and place volunteer applicants into the right positions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying volunteer roles/projects through needs assessment and ongoing communication with the rest of the LLS team
- Assist in developing job descriptions for volunteer positions/roles
- Develop and maintain a volunteer application and screening system
- Develop and maintain a system for placing volunteers into available positions and managing fit once they are placed
- Assist in development and implementation of the volunteer risk management plan
- Assist in development and implementation of a general LLS volunteer orientation program
- Coordinate all activities with the other members of the volunteer coordination team
- Provide documentation and assessment of the volunteer placement coordinator position
