We envision a world in which the lives of all animals matter, and communities work compassionately together to end the needless killing of homeless cats and dogs. Help us make that a reality!

Did you know that thousands of innocent, healthy and adoptable cats and dogs are put to sleep each year on the Treasure Coast? You can save the life of a homeless pet by fostering with All Paws Matter. We pull animals from shelters who have simply run out of time, and give them another chance at life, but we can only do it if we have foster homes waiting to take them in until they find their forever homes. We award community service/volunteer hours for each day you have a foster animal in your home.

Mission Statement

All Paws Matter seeks to end the needless killing of homeless cats and dogs in Florida’s Treasure Coast by providing direct rescue and rescue support to other nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, as well as community outreach, education and pet-owner support. We work collaboratively with a network of volunteers, high-volume, open-admission shelters, no-kill rescues, and other community organizations and individual rescuers to decrease the number of animals going into shelters, save animals from "euthanasia" lists and other high-risk situations, and increase the number of animals finding forever homes. At the same time, we’re developing an easily adaptable and adoptable framework to share freely with other individuals and groups seeking to create more humane communities, because all animals -- regardless of where they are -- truly matter.

Description

We are desperately in need of foster homes in Florida's Treasure Coast for cats and dogs. We pull animals from open-admission shelters who are out of time and facing death, and place them in homes, where they can decompress from the stressful shelter environment, work on their manners, and regain their trust of people. We then work to get them adopted into forever homes. If you can open your home to a homeless pet in need, we'll provide everything else, from pet food to litter to veterinary care.

High school students and others needing community service/volunteer hours receive several hours each day that an animal is in their care. Think about it. Fostering lets' you have a wonderful companion to play and cuddle with, yet you don't need to make a permanent commitment to an animal, and at the same time you're saving a life and fulfilling community service/volunteer requirements for school or court. It's a win-win situation!

We also need people willing to transport animals from shelter to foster homes and from foster homes to adoption events, as well as people to volunteer at weeknight and/or weekend adoption events.
