Summary: Staff the refuge Visitor Center on Saturdays.
Description: Work with another volunteer to staff the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center on Saturdays. Greet refuge visitors and answer their questions about refuge wildlife and recreational activities. Also track visitation, operate videos upon request, and help with other special projects. Saturday visitor center hosts must undergo a background check.

Description
Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, founded by President Theodore Roosevelt on February 25, 1909, is one of the oldest refuges in the National Wildlife Refuge System (NWRS).
Managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the System preserves a network of lands and waters set aside for the conservation and management of the nation's fish, wildlife, and plant resources for the benefit of present and future generations.
Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge needs your talents, enthusiasm, and time! If you appreciate and are concerned about the refuge and its wildlife, then consider becoming a refuge volunteer.
