PLACEMENT PURPOSE
In keeping with the mission of the American Red Cross, Disaster Services will provide nationwide, timely, innovative and effective planning, preparedness and relief that enhances the ability of people to anticipate, survive and recover from disasters.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Volunteers have training requirements depending on the position. Volunteers on a Disater Action Team must be on call and available⦆at least one week out of the month. Volunteers are required to attend meetings and workshops to keep skills updated.
Training is required ⦆and provided by the American Red Cross. A current license is required of Mental Health and Health Services Volunteers.
